About Budget Line Config Sets
Budget Line Config Sets allow you to make changes in the way your detail budget lines are calculated, while preserving the original configuration. For example, you may have a Fixed budget line in your 2008 Original but you need that line to be a Market Segment line for your 2009 Original. You would create a Line Config Set and associate it with the 2009 Original. By default, until you create Line Config Sets and associate them with budget lines, all budget line types are associated with the Master set.
There are three steps involved with using Budget Line Config Sets:
- Configure Budget Line Config Sets.
- Associate them with datasets in the Configure Property - Datasets tab.
- Change the budget line type in Configure/View Budget-General tab.
