Desktop Launcher is optimized for available memory  (25146)

In this release of Desktop Launcher, the software has been updated to run optimally based on the available random-access memory (RAM) of your computer. The software will detect the available memory on the computer and adjust accordingly.

Using Desktop Launcher with multiple databases  (24433)

In previous releases, Unifocus Desktop Launcher could open only one instance of 

RMS

. This instance was associated with only one database and labor structure. In this release, Desktop Launcher can now simultaneously open multiple instances of 

RMS

, each associated with a unique database and labor structure. This improvement enables side-by-side comparisons of labor standards and structures. 

Note: This improvement affects only 

RMS 9

 labor structures.

Version 2.0.12

Printing reports in Reporter  (23357)   

Reports now successfully print in versions of Reporter that are accessed through the Unifocus Desktop Launcher.

In some instances of previous

RMS

 10 releases, Reporter, when opened from the Desktop Launcher, did not allow users to print generated reports. As expected, generating the report opened it in a separate tab; however, selecting a printer and then selecting the print option did not print the report.

Note: This issue affected only Reporter in 

RMS

 accessed from the Desktop Launcher. It affected all reports.

The software has been updated so that reports successfully print in versions of Reporter that are accessed through the Unifocus Desktop Launcher.

Desktop Launcher window now closes after launching 

RMS

 (23578)

The Unifocus Desktop Launcher now closes after the 

RMS

 software is opened.

In some instances of previous 

RMS

 9 releases, the Desktop Launcher window remained open after the 

RMS

 software was launched. Users also received error messages. In some, but not all, cases, this issue was caused by databases that included the latest version of Labor Dashboard. 

The software has been updated so that the Unifocus Desktop Launcher window closes after the 

RMS

 software is launched.

Users can zoom in or zoom out in the Unifocus Desktop Launcher  (21617)

This release of the Unifocus Desktop Launcher allows users to zoom in or out using keyboard shortcuts. Your magnification setting is automatically saved. The next time you open the Desktop Launcher, it is magnified to your preference.

Ctrl + +Zooms in to increase the size of images and text on the screen.
Ctrl + −Zooms out to decrease the size of images and text on the screen.
Ctrl + 0Resets the screen to default settings.

Desktop Launcher download uses SSL  (17445)

The Desktop Launcher download process now uses secure sockets layer (SSL).

New file menu options in the Unifocus Desktop Launcher (17439)

Options have changed in the File menu. On Mac, there is no File menu. On Windows, the File menu includes one option to close the application.
