For All Users

From the details screen, users can view, edit, and cancel the time off requests.

For Managers

For pending requests, managers can:

  • Swipe left to quickly approve or deny a request.
  • View available paid time off for employees.
  • Approve or deny with comments.

Time Off Requests Calendar View

Mobile v.2.0 features an improved Time Off Requests calendar view of employee time off requests. Using this view, managers can now:

  • Quickly see who is off today and throughout the rest of the planning period.
  • Approve or deny pending time off requests by swiping right on the request card.
  • View planned shifts, scheduled, and available employees to help them decide whether or not to approve a shift on a given day.

Push Notifications

A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device (typically on the lock screen). An application can send push notifications at any time; users do not have to be in the application or using their devices to receive them.

Note: Push notifications require

RMS

 version 9.09.01.

Employees receive push notifications when:

  • Another employee approves or denies a shift request that they have submitted and that requires their acceptance.
  • They receive a message in the Mobile App.
  • Schedules are published for any of their jobs.
  • A new shift request is sent to them for their approval or denial.
  • Their manager approves, denies, or changes a shift, time off, or availability request that they submitted.
  • Their manager assigns them a new shift or reassigns one of their shifts to another employee.

From the Preferences menu, users can select which types of push notifications they would like to receive or turn them off entirely.

Messages and Notifications

With the new Messages screen, users can view and manage messages from managers and colleagues. The default view of the screen is the Inbox.  Users can:

  • See a list of their sent and deleted messages.
  • Mark individual messages as read/ unread by swiping a message.
  • Mark multiple messages as read/unread by tapping the Edit button and selecting messages.
  • Compose new messages by tapping the floating compose button.

Scheduling

New scheduling improvements enable employees to view their own schedules and those of their peers through calendars. Features include:

  • My Schedule—This screen displays a list of currently published shifts. Employees see their next shift at the top of the screen. From this screen, they can request to drop a shift
  • Peer Schedules—This screen displays a grid view of the employee's schedule, as well as the names of other employees who have the selected job.

Note: Peers who have shifts in other jobs will appear as gray if it is a shift that is not for the selected job.

  • Open shifts—This screen displays a grid view of users' schedules, as well as any open shifts that are available for the selected job. On this screen, users can:
    • Change job selection based on jobs to which they have access.
    • Request pickup of an open shift by selecting it.
    • Request to drop a shift.

Shift Requests

For managers: Managers can create urgent pickup requests, enabling them to blast an open shift to employees to request coverage.

Employee Availability Requests

In this release, users can now add availability, which will be reflected in the Employee Maintenance component of LMS. With this functionality, users can do the following:

  • View current and pending availability.
  • Edit current availability and submit for manager approval.
  • Cancel pending availability.

Time Cards

Employees can send messages to managers regarding a missed punch.

Employee Alerts

In previous release of the Mobile App, the Employee Alerts screen was accessible from the main menu. In this release, the Employee Alerts screen is the manager home screen and appears automatically when managers sign in. Icons on this screen indicate which employees are:

  • Approaching break.
  • Late to clock out.
  • Late to clock in.
  • In but not scheduled.
  • Calling in tardy.
  • Calling in absent.
  • Clocked in.
  • Coming in soon.

By selecting each of these icons, managers can see which employee has triggered the alert, whether that employee is clocked in or out, and whether there are any details related to the alert.

If a manager selects the alert detail from the list, the Employee Profile screen opens. If the employee is clocked in, the manager can clock out the employee or transfer the employee's job.

Managers can also see the employee's projected hours for the period, the number of hours the employee has to date for the period, and the employee's current shift information. Managers can contact the employee via email, text, message, or phone.

Revenue Center Forecasting

The Revenue Center Forecasting screen displays forecast data for an organization's revenue centers. On the Revenue Center Forecasting screen, users can do the following:

  • Select planning periods and revenue centers.
  • View business volume forecast information for each revenue center.
  • View weather forecast information (if available for the date selected).
  • Edit business volume forecasts.
  • Apply, change, and remove forecast environments.
  • View details and statistics for KBIs.

A highlight of this screen is that it offers a quick way to apply, change, or remove forecast environments if users did not already do so in the Enter Forecast Environments screen in the

RMS

software.
