Configuring-Viewing Budgets
Entering data in the budget (either initially or when making adjustments) means that you apply dollar amounts to budget lines. There are two parts to entering data for a budget: entering the initial data once the forecast has been completed, and editing the budget throughout the year. The actions for initial and subsequent editing are done the same way, so you will only see one set of instructions.Â
There are two viewing modes for the Configure/View Budget screen: Table Mode and Edit Mode. Table mode is not directly editable; however, you can edit a budget line by double-clicking on the line itself. Edit mode displays three separate areas: Results, Comparative, and Cost Structures. The Cost Structure area is directly editable and changes are immediately viewable in the Results area.
Depending on which modules you own, there are several screens that may be involved in Configuring/Viewing the budget including:
- Allocation Types
- Budget Lines
- Changing the Budget Structure
- Configuring Allocations
- Creating Budget Lines
- Deleting Views
- Editing Budget Lines
- Editing the Allocations Tab
- Editing the Cost Structures Tab
- General Tab
- Notes
- Results Tab
- Selecting & Configuring Views
