Holiday Eligibility

Holiday Eligibility work rules determine whether an employee is eligible for holiday pay.

The Holiday Eligibility work rule type includes the following work rules:

Description

A fixed number of hours are paid for the holiday.

Average Hours with Worked Before and After Check

Description

Award holiday pay based on a percentage of the average wages over a configured period. This rule also checks whether the employee worked the shift before and/or after the holiday to calculate eligibility. 

Note: If a holiday falls on the last day of the pay period, the check for the shift worked after the holiday will not apply.

Minimum Monthly Hours

Description

The employee must work over the minimum monthly hours for a configured number of months to be eligible for holiday pay. Eligible hours are determined by hours / shifts for the configured number of months.
