Meal Punch

The Meal Punch work rule type determines how and when an employee can meal punch.

The Meal Punch work rule type includes the following work rules:

Fixed Meal Earning

Description

Determines if an employee can meal punch at the UFTC and creates a fixed amount meal earning.

Meal Punch Permission for Employees

Select the conditions under which an employee may clock out for a meal.

  • Disallow: Meal button is disabled if an employee is on the clock; enabled if off the clock.
  • Allow: Meal button is enabled.
  • Allow With Off Clock: Off clock employees have Meal button enabled; on clock employees will have the Break And Meal and Out And Meal buttons enabled.
Post-Schedule Grace Period

Grace period, after the scheduled shift end, during which the employee can still meal punch.

Pre-Schedule Grace Period

Grace period, prior to the scheduled shift start, during which an employee can punch IN and meal punch.

Scheduled Employees Only

If selected, only employees scheduled to work can meal punch. Employees who work, but are not scheduled, are not allowed to meal punch if this is selected.
