Adding a certification to an employee

Caution: Information about employee certifications is either imported through interface files or entered manually on the Certifications tab. If you edit this tab, your changes might be overwritten the next time an interface file is imported. Check with your HR department to determine whether you need to add, delete, and edit files on the Certifications tab or whether the information is automatically updated through interface files.

  1. In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon (  ).
  2. From the drop-down list, under the Admin section, select Employee Maintenance.
    The Employee Maintenance screen appears in a separate tab.

  3. In the employee pane, click the row of the employee you want to edit.

    For information about filtering the employee list, see Filtering employees and information in Employee Maintenance.
    The General tab updates with information for the selected employee.
  4. Click the Certifications tab.

  5. Click Add.
    The Add Employee Certification dialog box appears.
  6. Edit the fields as necessary.

  7. Click OK.
    The dialog box closes, and your changes are applied.

Issue Date

Enter the date on which the certification is issued by either typing the date in the field or selecting the date from the calendar menu.

Start Date

Enter the date on which the certification becomes valid by either typing the date in the field or selecting the date from the calendar menu.

Required.

End Date

Enter the date on which the certification expires by either typing the date in the field or selecting the date from the calendar menu.

Required.

OKApplies your changes and closes the dialog box. 
CancelCancels your changes and closes the dialog box.Â
