Pre-Schedule Employees
The Pre-Schedule Employees task lets you enter predetermined schedules for selected employees in various jobs. You can schedule key employees before LMS continues with the auto scheduling process. Training schedules can also be entered here via the Shift Category menu.

Fields on the Pre-Schedule Employees screen

Employee | Lists the name of employees. | |
Date | Date of when the schedule begins. | |
Start Time | Start time of when the schedule begins. | |
End Time | End time of when the schedule ends. | |
Job | Lists the job that the employee is scheduled for. | |
Assignment | Lists the assignment(s) that the employee is scheduled for, if applicable. | |
Shift Category | Designate whether this is a work schedule (default) or a training schedule. | |
Comments | Add notes if appropriate. | |

Edit | Edits a employee's schedule. | A schedule must be available/created for this button to appear. |
Delete | Deletes a employee's schedule. | A schedule must be available/created for this button to appear. |
Running the Pre-Schedule Employees task
Adding a Pre-Schedule
- In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( ).
- From the drop-down list, under the Labor section, select Planning.
The Planning screen appears in a separate tab. - Click Display advanced options.
- In the Pre-Schedule Employees row, click Update/Start.
The Pre-Schedule Employees screen appears in the same tab. - Change the Show pre-schedules on or after period if necessary.
- Click Add.
The Add Pre-Schedule dialog box appears. - Select a Job from the tree. You can expand the tree to see the jobs.
- Select an Assignment if applicable.
- Enter the Date, Start Time, End Time, and Shift Category.
- Enter Comments, if necessary.
- Click Next.
The Select Employees dialog appears. - Select the Employee you are pre-scheduling.
- Click Add.
The dialog box closes and the employee's schedule appears on the Pre-Schedule Employees screen.
Editing a Pre-Schedule
- In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( ).
- From the drop-down list, under the Labor section, select Planning.
The Planning screen appears in a separate tab. - Click Display advanced options.
- In the Pre-Schedule Employees row, click Update/Start.
The Pre-Schedule Employees screen appears in the same tab. - Change the Show pre-schedules on or after period if necessary.
- Do one of the following:
- Double-click an employee.
The Edit Pre-Schedule dialog box appears.
Or
- Click an employee.
- Click Edit.
The Edit Pre-Schedule dialog box appears.
- Double-click an employee.
- Edit the fields as necessary.
- Click Next.
The Select Employees dialog appears. - Select the Employee you are pre-scheduling.
- Click OK.
The dialog box closes and your changes are applied.
Deleting a Pre-Schedule
- In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( ).
- From the drop-down list, under the Labor section, select Planning.
The Planning screen appears in a separate tab. - Click Display advanced options.
- In the Pre-Schedule Employees row, click Update/Start.
The Pre-Schedule Employees screen appears in the same tab. - Change the Show pre-schedules on or after period if necessary.
- Click an employee.
- Click Delete.
A message asking if you want to delete the schedule appears. - Click Yes.
The dialog box closes and the schedule is roved from the Pre-Schedule Employees screen.
