Employee Sets
Employee Sets help filter employees into groups. For example, use Employee Sets to designate which employees have specific work rules applied, as well as determine the employees that are affected by Tip Pooling types and many other functions.

Terms & Definitions
Details | Filters. Denotes the criteria that must be met for the Employee Set to apply. You can have one filter or multiple filters, as needed. |
Work Rules | Allows you to determine which Rule Types and Work Rule Sets are associated with the employee set. To determine which Work Rule Set is associated with a Rule Type, you click in the field beside the Rule Type and select a Work Rule Set from the drop-down menu. |
Earning Type Restrictions | Allows you to determine which Earning Types can not be associated with this Employee Set. |
Creating Employee Sets
There are two steps involved in configuring Employee Sets:
- Creating Filters
- Attaching the appropriate Work Rules
Sample work flow for an Employee Set consisting of part-time Bellmen who are contract employees:
- Create an Employee Class called Contract and select Primary.
- Create an Employee Work Class called Part-Time. Leave Full-Time unselected.
- Create an Employee Set called Bellman-Contract-PT.
- Add a Filter and select Primary Class as the Filter Type.
- Select Include as the Operation and Contract as the Available Primary Class.
- Click Finish.
- Select the Work Rules tab and configure the Work Rules as appropriate.
