Revenue Lines-Line Types
Revenue lines allow you to customize Revenue for your property to simplify data input while maintaining a reporting consistency for your corporate office. Revenue lines consist of various cells that are used to input and calculate data. Some of these cells can be associated with accounts.

Revenue lines are associated with specific line types, and each line type has a cell(s) which determines how the line behaves. For example, a Revenue Taxable line will have cells for Gross, Adjustments, Net and Tax. Configuration of these cells is required in order for Revenue to perform proper calculations. Most cells require data input, however, some cells are calculated.
Revenue line types can have children, however, each line type has restrictions as to the types of children. Determine which line type you want to associate with the revenue line according to the cell structure that you want that revenue line to have.
There are two types of Revenue Lines:
When you add top-level revenue lines, you must select one of these primary types. You can name them anything you want, and you can have as many of each type as you need.
Creating Revenue Lines
To create a revenue line:
- Select Revenue Structure from the Configuration menu.
- In the tree, select the parent for the line you want to create.
- Click the New icon in the toolbar (or right click on the line and select New). The New Revenue Line selection dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a Description.
- Enter a Code.
- Select a Line Type from the list.
- Click OK.
- Proceed to Configuring a Revenue Line.
Configuring Revenue Lines
To configure a revenue line:
- Select or de-select Journal Entry and/or Active.
- Select a Link.
- Enter the appropriate data for the Cell Accounts fields. Note that you can also click on the ellipses box and select an account from the list.
- Enter the appropriate data for the Cell Offset Accounts if appropriate.
- Enter the appropriate data in the Cell Interface Mappings fields.
- Review the Message Area for any problems and correct as necessary.
- Click the Save icon.
Required Revenue Line Codes
There are several codes that must be configured in the Revenue Structure. If not configured, or not configured correctly, many Reports and the Control Summary will reflect incorrect data.
Revenue codes that must be configured:
