Generate Standard Hours

The Generate Standard Hours task is a process that calculates how many hours of labor each job should have used to meet actual business volumes. The result of this process is called standard hours; the benchmark against which you can measure performance by comparing Actual Hours to Standard Hours.

LMS generates standard hours using the actuals you provide (see Entering Actual Hours) and the job data you configured. Hours can be generated as far back as 26 weeks.

This task must be performed if you plan to generate and use the following daily reports:

  • Daily Operating Report
  • Hours Variance Analysis
  • Daily Payroll Summary
