Managing notifications

Notifications are email messages that inform users of specific activities or statuses related to projects. For example, MEETINGScope users with permission to upload interfaces might need to be added the Interface Processed and Interface Not Processed Recently notifications. Each time a notification is sent, all users added to the notification receive the email.

Adding a user to a notification

If you add a user to a notification, the user receives email notifications for the selected notification type. You can add a user to a notification on either the Survey Email Notification tab or the Users tab.

Adding a user to a notification on the Survey Email Notification tab

  1. In the header section, select a client or property from the Select a Location drop-down list.
    The screen displays information for the selected client or property.
  2. In the header section, select the Survey Email Notification tab.
    The list pane displays the notification list.
  3. In the Notification Name column, click the +  buttons to expand the tree menus.
  4. Click to select the notification to which to add user.
    The Email Notification Details pane displays information for the selected notification. Information for the users who receive the notification appears in the user list.
  5. In the Email Notification Details pane, click Add User to Notification. 
    The Add Email Notification dialog box appears.
  6. Complete the fields as necessary.

  7. Click Add.
    The user is added to this email notification.

Adding a user to a notification on the Users tab

  1. In the header section, select a client or property from the Select a Location drop-down list.
    The screen displays information for the selected client or property.
  2. In the header section, select the Users tab.
    The list pane displays the user list. 
  3. In the user list, click to highlight the user for whom you want to add a permission.
    The User Details pane displays details for the selected user.
  4. In the User Details pane, select the Survey Email Notification tab. 
  5. Click Add User to Notification.
    The Add Email Notification dialog box appears.
  6. Complete the fields as necessary.

  7. Click Add.
    The user is added to this email notification.

Removing a user from a notification

If you remove a user from a notification, the user no longer receives email notifications for the selected notification type. You can remove a user from a notification on either the Survey Email Notification tab or the Users tab.

  1. In the header section, select a client or property from the Select a Location drop-down list.
    The screen displays information for the selected client or property.
  2. In the header section, select the Survey Email Notification tab.
    The content pane displays the notification list.
  3. In the Notification Name column, click the +  buttons to expand the tree menus.
  4. Click to select the notification from which to remove a user.
    The Email Notifications Details pane displays information for the selected notification. Information for the users who receive the notification appears in the user list.
  5. In the Email Notifications Details pane, click to select the user from which to remove the notification.
  6. Click Remove Selected. 
    A CONFIRM dialog box appears. The message asks if you are sure you want to remove the user from the notification.
  7. Click Yes.
    The dialog box closes, the notification is removed from the user, and the user information is removed from the user list.

  1. In the header section, select a client or property from the Select a Location drop-down list.
    The screen displays information for the selected client or property.
  2. In the header section, select the Users tab.
    The user list pane displays the user list. 
  3. In the user list, click to highlight the user for whom you want to remove a permission.
    The User Details pane displays details for the selected user.
  4. In the User Details pane, select the Survey Email Notification tab. 
    The project pane below the tab updates to show all projects that the user can access.
  5. In the project information pane, click the + buttons to expand the tree menus and display the notification types associated with each property.
  6. In the tree menu, click to highlight the notification from which to remove the employee.
  7. Click Remove Selected. 
    A CONFIRM dialog box appears. The message asks if you are sure you want to remove the user from the notification.
  8. Click Yes.
    The dialog box closes, the notification is removed from the user, and the notification type is removed from the tree menu.
