Settings

The Settings screen allows you to customize the data you will see on the Dashboard. 

Terms and Definitions

Tag TreeAllows you to determine what type of data you will see. The results from the selection(s) you make, are displayed in the Filtered Properties column. For example, you can choose Resort (under Hotel Type) and all properties that are Resorts are displayed in Filtered Properties column. You can also narrow down the list by selecting any or all of the other check boxes. Note that if you select All Properties, you cannot make any other selections.
Tag Properties

Allows you to customize the data choices that are available in the Tag Tree.

  • Categories. Allow you to group data by using specific criteria.
  • Tags. Allows you to create the specific criteria.
  • Available Properties. Allows you to select which properties are associated with the Categories and Tags.
  • Properties Tagged as xxx. Displays the properties that are included in each of the Categories and Tags.

Let's create a scenario.

  1. Click Add beside the Categories column.
  2. Add a Category called Hotel Type.
  3. Click Add beside the Tags column.
  4. Add a Tag for each of the following: Resort, Spa, Trade Show
  5. Highlight Hotel Type in the Categories column and Spa in the Tags column.
  6. Highlight the property you want to be associated with the selected category and tag, and drag it to the center column (Properties Tagged as xxx).

Now, when you go to the Settings panel, you will see Hotel Type with Resort, Spa and Trade Show listed. The Filtered Properties columns displays the properties that are associated with the selections you make. For example, if you select Resort and Spa, the Filtered Properties column will display all properties that you tagged as Resort, as well as those you tagged as Spa. If you de-select Spa, you will only see the properties that you tagged as Resort.

 

Tree Organization Type

Select the data you want to see. Your selection in the Tree Organization Type determines the the choices that are available in the Breadcrumbs drop-down menus.

  • Property Tree. Allows you to select criteria based on the Labor Structure.
  • Multi-Property Tree. Allows you to select criteria based on Master Mappings. For example, each property may have a different way of designating Food & Beverage (F&B, F and B, FandB, etc.). Master mappings take all of these different ways of saying the same thing, and maps them all to the same designation.
  • Operating Codes. Allows you to select criteria based on Operating Codes. For example, you have four restaurants. Each restaurant has waiters. Data for all waiters in all four restaurants will be displayed if Operating Codes is selected.
Date RangeSelect a date range. You can use the Date Range drop-down menu to quickly view data for Last 30 Days, Last Week, This Week, Previous Quarter, Current Quarter, Previous Month, Month to Date, Year to Date or Custom. Or you can manually select the dates by clicking on the calendar.
