Regular Rate

Regular Rate work rules determine the rate of pay at which regular hours are paid.

Criteria

  • Job Regular Rate. Denotes that the regular rate is set according to the job pay rate.
  • Home Department Regular Rate. Denotes the regular rate for the home department according to the Home job pay rate. Jobs outside the Home department will use the property default rates.
  • Home Job Regular Rate. Denotes that the regular rate is set by using the Home Job Pay Rate.
  • Annual Salary Over Hours Worked in Period. Computes the hourly rate from an annual salary based on the hours worked in a period. The calculations is: ((Annual Salary / Periods Per Year) - Earnings) / Worked Hours.
    • Other Earnings. Allows you to determine whether Other Earnings should be deducted from the period salary before computing the hourly wage.
  • Shift Category Minimum Wage. Ensures that minimum wage is paid for selected shift categories, while the regular Rate is set according to the job pay rate. For example, if a group of employees attends job training they would be paid at their regular wage for their jobs, unless their regular rates are below minimum wage, in which case the training would be paid at minimum wage.
    • Shift Categories. Allows you to determine which shift categories will be paid at least minimum wage.
  • Factor Job Regular Rate. Denotes that the regular rate is set according to the job pay rate X wage factor.
    • Wage Factor. Allows you to determine the factor to be used in the calculation.
  • Combination Jog Regular Rate. Ensures that employees who work two jobs at different pay rates are paid at the higher rate for all hours worked.
    • Daily Hours Threshold. Threshold in hours that determines whether to pay at the higher rate for any given day.
    • Weekly Rate Days Threshold. Threshold in days that determines whether to adjust the weekly rate.
