About Generating Schedules

The Generate Schedule task lets you run the auto schedule process for up to 13-weeks in the future. It also gives you the option of rotating your employees' days off. During this process, LMS automatically generates a schedule based on the following:

  • Labor requirements
  • Pre-schedules you may have created
  • Each employee's required and preferred time off
  • All jobs that an employee is trained to work

Generating Schedules

To generate schedules:

  1. Choose Planning (found under Labor) from the main menu.
  2. Click the Start/Update button next to Generate Schedules in the task list. A prompt window appears.
  3. Select the Division, Department, and/or Job for which you wish to generate schedules, or leave the default <All> selection to generate schedules for the entire property.
  4. Select or de-select the Rotate Days Off option. If selected, that employee will not be scheduled to work the same assignment two days in a row.
  5. Select a Start Date and an End Date.
  6. Click the OK button. LMS will schedule in descending order.

Importing Schedules

If you have already prepared schedules in Excel, you can import those schedules into Scheduler. You will find a link to Import Schedules in the Other Actions menu in Scheduler.
