The Generate Schedule task lets you run the auto schedule process for up to 13-weeks in the future. It also gives you the option of rotating your employees' days off. During this process, LMS automatically generates a schedule based on the following:

  • Labor requirements
  • Pre-schedules you may have created
  • Each employee's required and preferred time off
  • All jobs that an employee is trained to work

DepartmentSelect a department from the drop-down list.
JobSelect a job from the drop-down list.
Rotate Days OffSelect if the KBI data should be recalculated because changes were made after the schedule was generated.This check box appear only if you have Administrator permission.
Start DateDate on which to start generating the schedule.
End DateDate on which to stop generating the schedule.
Buttons
OKGenerates the schedule.
CancelCancels the task and the dialog box closes.

Running the Generate Schedules task

  1. In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon (  ).
  2. From the drop-down list, under the Labor section, select Planning.
    The Planning screen appears in a separate tab.
  3. In the Generate Schedules row, click Update/Start.
    The Generate Schedules dialog box appears.
  4. Select the Division, Department, and/or Job to generate schedules, or leave the default All selection to generate schedules for the entire property.
  5. Select or de-select the Rotate Days Off option.

    Caution: If you select Rotate Days Off, that employee will not be scheduled to work the same assignment two days in a row.

  6. Select a Start Date and an End Date.
  7. Click OK.

    Note: LMS will schedule in descending order.

    The dialog closes and a status window appears.

Importing Schedules

If you have already prepared schedules in Excel, you can import those schedules into Scheduler. For more information, click Other Actions.
