Double Time Rate Work Rules

Double Time Rate Work Rules determine the rate of pay at which double time is paid.

Criteria

  • Job DT Rate. Applies the double time rate that is set according to job pay rate X double time factor.
    • Double Time Factor. Denotes the factor to be used in the calculation.
  • Home Department DT Rate. Denotes the double time rate for the home department. This rate is calculated using the home job pay rate X Double Time Factor. Jobs outside the home department, will calculated using the property default rates X double time rate factor.
    • Double Time Factor. Denotes the factor to be used in the calculation.
    • Premium Types. Denotes the premium earnings type rate that will be applied.
  • Home Job DT Rate. Denotes that the DT rate is calculated by multiplying the Home Job Pay Rate by the DT Rate Factor.
    • Double Time Factor. Denotes the factor to be used in the calculation.
    • Premium Types. Denotes the Earning Types to which the rate will be applied.
  • FLSA DT Rate. Applies the rate which is calculated by dividing total compensation for the workweek by the total number of hours actually worked during that week. The rate is then multiplied by the double time factor.
    • Double Time Factor. Denotes the factor to be used in the calculation.
    • Regular Hours. Denotes that only regular hours should be used in the calculations, if selected.
  • Commissioned Based OT Rate. Applies the rate calculated by dividing total commission for the workweek by the total number of hours actually worked during that week.  The rate is then multiplied by the double time factor.
    • Earning Types. Allows you to select the Earning Type on which the rule is based.
    • Minimum Commission Rate. Denotes the minimum commission rate before the OT rate factor is applied.
    • Overtime Factor. Denotes the overtime factor to be used in the calculation.
