Job Status Tab

Administration -> Employee Maintenance -> Job Status Tab

There is a central premise to the Job Status Tab and the new Home Job effective maintenance.  Everything is based on a date.  Ultimately any additions, subtractions, changes to jobs, wages etc. are determined by a date or date set.

Here is a quick Overview & Structure of of the Job Status Tab.

Transactions dates:  TransDates.png

  •  This tab has columns of information
    •  Start Date - The Start date of the transactions pertinent to the date set
    •  End Date - The End date of the transactions pertinent to the date set 
    •  Home Change - This would display a change in the Home Job
    •  Wage Change - This would display a quick view of which Job had a change to it's wage
    •  Added - This would display a quick view of what job was added to the employee profile
    •  Removed - This would display a quick view of what job was removed from the employee profile
  • This tab gives the flexibility to post date certain employee changes (wage or job changes for instance) and/or pre-date certain maintenance.  Within the Transaction Dates section, the user has 3 maintenance options available to them.  
    •  Add button (allows for the creation of new date set)
    •  Delete button (allows the deletion of a date set).
    •  Filter icon (by default the current date set is displayed, clicking on the filter icon allows the user to view previous or "Expired" date sets).

Transaction Details:  Within each date set, there are transaction details.  This would be specific to the job details. TransDetails.png

  • Columns
    • Job - Displays the specific information of the job (Division, Department, Job, Assignment)
    • Pay Type - Denotes whether the employee is paid according to: Hourly, Salaried, Contract, or Salaried Exempt.
    • Rate -  Displays the hourly rate (Even for Salaried employees)
    • Seniority - Displays the seniority date of the job
    • Rank - Describes the skill level of the employee in the job you selected. This field has a range from 1 to 100, with lower numbers indicating a higher skill level...1 being the highest rank...100 being the lowest rank.
    • Sub-Only - Used in situations where employees have multiple jobs. The option specifies whether the system should auto schedule for any/all of the other roles that the employee is qualified to work. If the Sub-Only box is marked No, the system will auto schedule for that job role. Watson’s default is to auto schedule all jobs. If the Sub-Only option is marked Yes, the system will not auto schedule for that job role. However, the manager can still manually schedule that employee for that specific job. 
    • Annual - Displays the annual salary for Salaried Employees
    • Salary Distribution - Allows you to denote a Salary Distribution (which only applies to salaried employees and is a way to take salary and put it in an hourly format.

    • Pay Code Override - Established in T&A codes for each job. T&ACodes.png
    • Reason - (if applicable). Allows you to associate a Reason for the wage increase.
  • Detail Maintenance
    • Add Button (allows the addition of a new job)
    • Edit Button (allows the user to edit a job, i.e. wages, home job assignment)  This requires the user to highlight a job within the Transaction Details window.
    • Delete Button (allows the deletion of a job)
    • Re-Order Button - Allows you to change the order of a hob in order to change the scheduling priority.  Using the Move Up/Move Down icons does not change the job rank, it just changes the scheduling priority.
    • History Button (allows the user to see the complete history of a particular job that was highlighted in the window)
