Add Job - Home Job Effective Date

Add Job Scenarios:

Recall that for the new Job Status Tab, everything centers around the date or date set.  In terms of adding/editing or deleting items for a job, think about WHEN it will take effect.

  • Current Date Set Job
    • the current date set will be displayed by default with a Start Date and an open End Date.
    • Ultimately the user will have 3 actions available for them.
      • Add:  if the user wants to add a new job to the current date set, that job will have the same effective date as the start date.     AddJob.png
        • Once the Job is added, let's look at how that impacts the Job Status screen. AddJob2.png
      • Edit:  The current date set will again be highlighted be default.  Therefore, the user must just select a job within the date set to edit.  Double clicking on the job or highlighting the job and clicking the edit button will allow the user to edit the info.
      • Delete:  Again, the current date set should be selected by default.  To delete a job, highlight the job within that current date set and click on the delete icon in the Transactions Details pane.  The user will then get a confirmation window verifying the job to be deleted.  DeleteJob.png
  • Future Date Set Job
    • Suppose the user (or a manager for example) wants to add a job to an employee profile that will take effect sometime in the future.
      • Step 1: Add the future Date Set. futuredate.png
      • Step 2: Highlight new Date Set.
        • This date set will include all info from the previous date set.  But now the user can add their job meant to be available in the future.
  • Previous Date set Job
    • Suppose a user wants to make changes to an employee job profile that needs to be prior to the current date set.
      • Step 1: As mentioned earlier, the Transaction Dates window pane has a filter.  The user should click on this and select "Show Expired"
      • Step 2: Highlight Previous Date set
        • Add job
