Notifications (21442)
This release of
RMS
includes custom notifications that can be sent to manager- and administrator-level users. InRMS
, a notification is an automated message that informs you of important system information. For example, you might configure biweekly notifications for when the variance between actual and standard hours exceeds a defined threshold. You create, configure, and manage notifications in the Notifications Setup screen. During setup, you can specify the criteria for which users receive notifications and which recipients must acknowledge the notifications. When a system check triggers a notification, users receive the notification at the top of the Alerts pane, which can be accessed from any
RMS
screen. In previous releases, the Alerts pane contained only employee alerts (for example, Employee Requests, Pay Period Errors, and Attendance Violations) that appear automatically when you log in. From the Alerts pane users can view additional details and, if required, acknowledge receipt of a notification. Notifications appear in the Alerts pane for a limited amount of time and are permanently available in the Notifications Log screen. In the Preferences section of both
RMS
and the UniFocus Mobile App, the Notifications section contains a new LMS Variances option. Use this option to select how you would like to receive notifications: through emails, push notifications, and/or SMS messages. Email notifications contain more details than push notifications or SMS messages.Fixed issues

Description | In the Notifications Setup screen, you create a notification using the Create New Notification wizard. On the General screen of the wizard, if you select a Type associated with a Variance Category, a Labor Structure field becomes available. From the Labor Structure tree menu, you specify the levels of the labor structure that will receive the notification. On the following Recipients screen of the wizard, you specify the managers with access to the selected labor structure who will receive the notification. In some instances of previous releases, when creating a notification, the Recipients screen of the wizard did not populate with managers who have access to the labor structure that was selected in the General screen of the wizard. |
Solution | The software has been updated so that when creating a notification using the Create New Notification wizard, the Recipients screen now populates with managers who have access to the labor structure that was selected in the General screen of the wizard. |
