Managers can respond to when an employee sends in a shift request. Employees do not have to make a re-entry when they want change something about the request.rearrange employees schedules based on when they are scheduled for a shift. Once a request is responded to, the schedule for the employee is immediately updated.

To respond to a shift request:

  1. Access the Time Off Request screen by doing one of the following:
    1. In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( Image Modified).
    2. From the drop-down list under the Time and Attendance section, click select Employee Requests.
      The Employee Requests screen appears in a separate tab.
      Or
    1. On the home screen, click Daily Operations.
    2. Click the Employee Request Icon icon ( Image Modified ).
      The Employee Requests screen appears in a separate tab.
  2. From the Requests Type drop down menu list, select Shift Requests.
    The Shift Requests screen appears.
  3. Get to the edit wizard for a Respond to an request by doing one of the following:
    1. Click an employee name.
    2. Click Edit Request.
      The Edit Give Away Shift Request dialog box appearsA dialog box appears. The name of the dialog box depends on the type of shift request that you are responding to.
      Or
    Click OK.
    The dialog box closes and the shift goes to the employee selected. The changes selected are now displayed on the screen
    • Double click an employee name with the Give Away Request type.
      The Edit Give Away Shift Request dialog box appears.
  4. Respond to a shift request by doing the following:
    1. Fill in the fields as necessary.
      Conflicts will be shown if there is something wrong with the request. This limits your access to certain fields and radio buttons.

      A dialog box appears. The name of the dialog box depends on the type of shift request that you are responding to.
  5. Complete the fields as necessary.
    The fields in the dialog box depend on the type of shift request that you are responding to. For more information, see Edit Shift Request dialog box.
  6. Click OK.
    The dialog box closes and the schedule for the employee is immediately updated.
