Managers can respond to when an employee sends in a shift request. Employees do not have to make a re-entry when they want change something about the requestThis eliminates manual data re-entry. Once a request is responded to, the schedule for the employee is immediately updated.
- Access the Time Off Request screen by doing one of the following:
- In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( ).
- From the drop down list under the Time and Attendance section, click Employee Requests.
The Employee Requests screen appears in a separate tab.
- On the home screen, click Daily Operations.

- From the Requests Type drop down menu list select Shift Requests.
The Shift Requests screen appears. - Get to the edit wizard for a request by doing one of the following:
- Click an employee name.
- Click Edit Request.
The Edit Give Away Shift Request dialog box that corresponds to the correct request appears.
- Double click an employee name with the Give Away Request type.

- Respond to a shift request by doing the following:
- Fill in the fields as necessary.
Conflicts will be shown if there is something wrong with the request. This limits your access to certain fields and radio buttons.

- Click OK.
The dialog box closes and the shift goes to the employee selected. The changes selected are now displayed on the screen.

This table describes the fields and controls found in this dialog box.
Employee | Displays the name of the employee, when the request was entered, and any comments from the employee. |
Shift Swap Details | Displays any conflicts with the request and the net cost change if the swap is made. Conflicts are shown in red and may restrict the ability to select certain portions within the panes. |
Shift Details | Displays the start and end dates, the duration of the shift, and the name of the job. Other components to this field include:

Request Status | Select the status and send an email notification to the employee. Date in which the email is sent is displayed. Request can be changed later and the new information is displayed. Comments can be made to an employee about the request. If the request is pending and does not get approved or denied before the time requested, then the request stays as pending. |
