Use Shift Date option in the Prompt For Fixed Hours Earning work rule (18184)
The Prompt for Fixed Hours work rule (System Setup > Work Rules > Post Punch) has been updated with a new Use Shift Date option so that earnings can be applied to the date of employees' In punches. In previous releases, earnings could be applied only to the date of employees' Out punches. This improvement accommodates shifts that span two days, such as overnight shifts. The earnings can now be associated with the start date of the shift.
In previous releases, when an employee's punch triggered a Punch Validation warning or lockout, a generic message appeared on the Time Clock screen. This message did not provide a reason for the warning, and managers were unable to customize this message. In this release, the Punch Validation work rule includes the following improvements:Improved and customized warning messages in the Punch Validation work rule (20347)
