Using the Value Wizard

If you wish to quickly enter daily rates that vary by the day of the week, use the Value Wizard. The Value Wizard can be used alone or in conjunction with the Adjustment Wizard.

  1. Select Value Wizard_ from the Related Tasks menu.
  2. Choose the appropriate Forecast Period if it is not already selected.
  3. Select a Market Segment/Revenue Center Period/Other KBI as appropriate.
  4. Select Update Units Only, Update Rates Only or Update Units and Rates.
  5. Depending on the selection you made in Step 4, click in the Units and/or Rates cell to be edited and enter the new data. Continue entering data as needed.
  6. Click Apply.

Using the Adjustment Wizard

If you wish to adjust the number of units and/or rates, use the Adjustment Wizard.  Note that you are able to increase/decrease these numbers by either a percentage (Adjust by Percent) or by an absolute dollar amount (Adjust by Amount). The Adjustment Wizard is usually used in conjunction with the Value Wizard.

To use the Adjustment Wizard:

  1. Select Adjustment Wizard from the Related Tasks menu. 
  2. Choose the appropriate Forecast Period if it is not already selected.
  3. Select a Market Segment/Revenue Center Period/Other KBI as appropriate.
  4. Select either Adjust by Percent or Adjust by Amount.
  5. Depending on the selection you made in Step 4, click in the Units and/or Rates cell to be edited and enter the new data. Continue entering data as needed.
  6. Click Apply.
