About Salary Distribution

Salary distribution takes a salaried employee's salary and converts it to hours. Watson takes the hours and automatically creates, and fills, shifts for these salaried employees.

Terms & Definitions

Distribution

Allows you to denote the days and number of hours/day for the employee's shifts. For example, if you enter 8 in the Tuesday through Saturday fields, the system will create 8 hour shifts for those days.

Hours/Week

Denotes the total number of hours the employee works every week. This number is read-only and is calculated by adding up the distribution hours you entered for each day. For example, if you enter 8 for Monday, 8 for Tuesday, 8 for Thursday and 4 for Friday the number of Hours/Week would be 28. Note that if your property is configured for monthly or semi-monthly periods, you do not see the distribution days, but are able to enter the total number of hours/week and employee works. The system then takes that number and distributes it equally over the period.
