The Employee Requests screen allows you edit an employee's schedule On this screen, you can view and manage employees’ requests for time off and check employees' availability. Changes to shifts can also be made here. This ensures that employees are working hours that are possible and that they are getting paid the right amount for time off. There can be conflicts with the request if a manager does not change the status in time. If there is a conflict then it stays as a pending request.

This screen has a few default settings which include:

, availability, and shifts. The screen opens to the Time Off Requests view by default. Although each view displays different information, all views show the status of each request.

The Employee Requests screen offers three views:

Note: A pending request remains in that status until it is approved, denied, or cancelled.

Caution: Changes or cancellations can not cannot be made after the pay period is closed. If the an employee's accrual balance is negative, then a warning will be displayed. A manager can look at message appears. Managers can view a past request, but the data is read-only.

Accessing the Employee Requests screen

Do one of the following:

  1. In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon (

8Employee Request Buttons
  • Add Request—Add a request for an employee.
  • Edit Request—Edit a selected request.
  • Import Request—Imports a file with requests.

The Edit Request button is available only if an employee request is selected in the table.
