About Importing KBIs

Budgeting has the capability of importing information from outside systems, such as a PMS or other accounting systemsystems, to populate the desired areas within the program. Importing probably won't would not enter all your actuals; you will need to manually enter any data that the importing process doesn't provide.

If you are unable to import data, you should proceed to Manually Entering Data to enter actual KBI values.

Load Interface

To import KBIs:

  1. Choose the Budget tab on the main screen.
  2. Click the link for Forecast KBIs.
  3. Select Import KBIs from In the toolbar, click the Main Menu icon ( Image Added ).
  4. From the drop-down list, under the Financial section, select Budgeting.
    The Budgeting screen appears in a separate tab.
  5. In the KBI Projections row, click Update/Start.
    The KBI Projections screen appears.
  6. From the Related Tasks drop-down menu.Select a period from , select Import KBIs.
    The Import KBI's dialog box appears.
  7. From the Select Period drop-down list, select a period.
  8. Determine if the words Not Set appear below Interface Class.
    • If the words Not Set do appear:
      1. Click the Load Interface button.
      2. Browse for your file and click the Open button.
    • If something other than the term Not Set appears, proceed to Step 67.
  9. Determine where you wish to save the file, and perform either step a or step b below:Enter the Import Path including a Do one of the following:
    • In the Import File field, enter the name for the file.
      Or
    1. Click Browse to find the location where the file will be saved, enter a File Name for the file, and click OK.
    Click Import.

      The Open dialog box appears.
    2. Use the fields as necessary.
    3. Click Open.
      The Open dialog box closes and the file name appears in the Import File field.
  10. Click OK.

    A message saying that the data has been successfully imported will appear in the bottom field.

    When you choose Adjust by Percent you will enter your values in whole numbers. For example, if you want to increase the rate by 50 percent, you would enter 50 rather than .50. To decrease the rate by 50 percent you would enter -50
