About Rejected Punches

Your Time Clocks are designed to reject employee punches when the punch doesn't match the established criteria. For example, if your property has configured a Schedule Lock Out rule and the employee tries to punch in when not scheduled, the punch is stored as a rejection. You have the ability to override the rejection. Any punches that you can't cannot select (grayed out) can't cannot be overridden because it will violate violates the integrity of the database.

Emp. Override

Indicates whether the employee declined to override the rejection (if the option was offered). Depending on the situation, an employee may see a message when they punch in

,

that says there is something wrong with the punch. If they get that message they are given the opportunity to override the rejection or to decline to override the rejection. For example, if an employee tries to clock in early and your property has rules about how early employees can clock in, a warning saying that the punch will be rejected will be displayed and that asks the employee if they wish to override the rejection or Decline to override the rejection. If the employee has not been authorized to clock in early, they would decline to override the warning and the word Decline would appear in this field. If the field is blank, it means that the employee did not have the opportunity to override the punch.
