RMS
includes custom notifications that can be sent to manager- and administrator-level users. InRMS
, a notification is an automated message that informs you of important system information. For example, you might configure biweekly notifications for when the variance between actual and standard hours exceeds a defined threshold.You create, configure, and manage notifications in the Notifications Setup screen. During setup, you can specify the criteria for which users receive notifications and which recipients must acknowledge the notifications. When a system check triggers a notification, users receive the notification at the top of the Alerts pane, which can be accessed from any
RMS
screen. In previous releases, the Alerts pane contained only employee alerts (for example, Employee Requests, Pay Period Errors, and Attendance Violations) that appear automatically when you log in. From the Alerts pane users can view additional details and, if required, acknowledge receipt of a notification. Notifications appear in the Alerts pane for a limited amount of time and are permanently available in the Notifications Log screen.In the Preferences section of both RMS
