You use the Generate Schedules dialog box to generate schedules based on your shifts. 

I need more information on what generating shifts actually does.

Clear Selections

Button to clear all check boxes in the Job Selector section.

 
Expand AllButton to expand the tree menu in the Job Selector section. 
Collapse AllButton to collapse the tree menu in the Job Selector section. 
Organization layersTree menu and check boxes for all organization layers (divisions, departments, and jobs) at the property.

Default: All items are selected. Is this the default setting, or do users set the default? - see job selector note.

The tree menu is organized with the following levels:

  • Property
    • Division
      • Department
        • Jobs
Clear Schedules

Check box to clear schedules.

I'm still not sure exactly what this does. Also, why wouldn't you just select the Clear Schedule option from the gear menu? - clears all schedules and then regenerate for all shifts. don't select if you only want system to fill any remaining unfilled shifts. check if you want to start over and autoschedule all shifts.

 
OKButton to apply schedule selections and close the Labor Selector dialog box. 
CancelButton to cancel any selections you made and close the Labor Selector dialog box.
