The At a Glance report screen provides an overview of attendance information for your organization. It contains two sections:

  • At a GlanceThis section contains gauges that display single data values for critical attendance information. 
  • ViolationsThis section contains a property review table of data for your selected properties.

With the information on this screen you can quickly view attendance patterns for all or selected organization layers.

At a Glance section 

The gauges in this section display types of violations and the total Attendance Points. You can use these gauges to  see the impact of attendance violations and communicate the relevance of analytical data. The gauge colors change depending on score:

  • Green—Good.
  • Yellow—Acceptable.
  • Red—Unacceptable.

The dark line on each gauge indicates the benchmark value, if applicable and available.

Gauge descriptions

Absenteeism

Displays the number of unexcused employee absences.

Scores for this gauge:

  • 0 to 2.5%—Good (25 defects per 1000). 
  • 2.5% to 5%—Acceptable (25 to 50 defects per 1000). 
  • >5%—Unacceptable (>50 defects per 1000).
 
Tardiness

Displays the number of unexcused instances of employee late arrivals based on employees' scheduled In times.

Scores for this gauge:

  • 0 to 2.5%—Good (25 defects per 1000).
  • 2.5% to 5%Acceptable (25 to 50 defects per 1000).
  • >5% Unacceptable (>50 defects per 1000).
 
Missed Punches

Displays the number of missed punches.

Scores for this gauge:

  • 0 to 10%—Good (100 defects per 1000).
  • 10% to 20%—Acceptable (100 to 200 defects per 1000).
  • >20%—Unacceptable (>200 defects per 1000).
Missed punches refer to any type of punch. For example, missed In, Out, and Break punches all qualify for Missed Punches.
Attendance Points

Displays the total Attendance Points for the selected property. Attendance Points are a way to value or weigh violation types. All violation types – such as Absenteeism, Tardiness, and Missed Punches – have Attendance Point values associated with them. The color scale for this gauge is based on the Average Points per Shift.

Scores for this gauge:

  • 0 to .05—Good.
  • .05 to .10—Acceptable.
  • >.10—Unacceptable.

You configure the value of Attendance Points in the Attendance Points Work Rules section of

Violations section

The Violations section contains a property review table of data for your selected properties.

Sorting and filtering information in the property review table

Selecting the Unit Type

The Unit Type section contains radio buttons to change values in the table.

To change the value:

  • Select a radio button for the desired unit type.
    • Raw Values—Number of violations.
    • Percentage—Percentage of violations. Calculation: (Number of violations) / (Number of shifts).
    • Per 1,000 Shifts—Number of violations per 1,000 shifts. Calculation: (Number of violations x 1,000) / (Number of shifts). 

The displayed values change based on selected unit type.

Sorting information in the table

You can use the table column headers to sort the information that appears in the table.

To sort by ascending or descending order, do one of the following:

  1. Click a column header.
    The column order updates. 
  2. (Optional) Click the column header again to reverse the order.
    The column order updates.

    Or
  1. Hover the pointer to the right side of a column you want to sort.
    A drop-down arrow appears.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow.
    A drop-down menu appears.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To sort in ascending order, click Sort Ascending.
    • To sort in descending order, click Sort Descending.

The column order updates.

Hiding and displaying columns in the table

You can use the table column headers to hide columns that appears in the table.

  1. Hover the pointer to the right side of any column in the table.
  2. A drop-down arrow appears.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow.
    A drop-down menu appears.
  4. Hover the pointer over Columns.
    A fly-out menu appears. It displays all columns in the table. Each column name has a check box. By default, all check boxes are selected.
  5. Clear the check boxes for columns you want to hide in the table. Select check boxes for columns that you want to display in the table.

The property review table - column descriptions

This table displays violations data for your selected properties.

The column header depends on your filter settings.

 

ShiftsTotal number of shifts. 
Total PointsTotal number of Attendance Points employees have accrued for the selected date range. 
Absent Emergencies

Number of instances when employees were absent due to emergencies.


Absent No CallsNumber of instances when employees were absent but did not notify their managers. 
Absent Short CallsNumber of instances when employees were absent but provided notification on short notice. 
AbsencesNumber of instances when employees were absent, regardless of notification to managers. 
Daily HoursNumber of instances when an employee worked too many hours in a day.The Daily Hours are defined by the Daily Hours Attendance Points Work Rule.
Early InsNumber of instances when employees punched in early at the property. 
Early OutsNumber of instances when employees punched out early at the property. 
Excess Overtime

Number of instances when employees worked excessive overtime hours in a shift.

Excess overtime is determined by the Excess Hours Attendance Points Work Rule.
Late In EmergenciesNumber of instances when employees were late due to emergencies. 
Late InsNumber of instances when employees punched in late at the property. 
Late OutsNumber of instances when employees punched out late at the property. 
Long BreaksNumber of instances when employees took breaks that were longer than their designated break time. 
Short BreaksNumber of instances when employees took breaks that were shorter than their designated break time. 
Time of Day

Number of instances when employees worked during a time of day for which they were not authorized to work.

This Time of Day violation type is typically set for employees who earn a differential pay based on the time of day they work.
Weekly Hours

Number of instances when employees worked more hours than they were authorized to work in a week.

 
Not ScheduledNumber of instances when employees punched in when they were not scheduled. 
Long ShiftNumber of long shifts at a property. 
Short ShiftNumber of short shifts at a property. 
ShiftsNumber of shifts at the property. 
Missed PunchesNumber of missed punches at the property.

No Break Punch

Number of instances when employees did not take a break.
