Important information about LMS
| Terms | Descriptions |
Time | Times are entered in one minute increments using universal (24 hour) time. For example, a shift that is scheduled to start at 5:00 P.M. would be entered as 17:00. The Start and End times for a full day are both entered as 00:00. |
Date | Months and days are entered as two digits; years are entered as four digits. For example, April 5, 2006 would be entered as 04/05/2006. You can also use the calendar function that is included with many of the date fields. |
Select/De-Select | Select or de-select options. |
Entry length | Names or other fields that are alphanumeric can be up to 50 characters. Codes or other numeric fields can be up to 25 characters. |
Length or duration of time | Time is entered in fractional time. For example, 4.0 hours, 4.5 hours, etc. |
Assumptions
All LMS documentation assumes that you are familiar with a computer and know how to perform the following tasks:
- Launch and exit Windows-based programs.
- Use a mouse, keyboard commands, and modifier keys.
- Open, save, and close files.
- LMS supports Microsoft Windows operating systems. All of the LMS books assume that you are familiar with at least one of these operating systems and know how to:
- Activate and deactivate windows.
- Open and close windows.
- Move and resize windows.
- Use window scrolling features.
- Identify and use split windows.
- Identify and use tabs.
- Operate a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
If you are not able to perform a task, consult the documentation resources provided with your computer or operating system.

The UniFocus support desk is open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:00 A.M. (8:00) Central time to 6:00 P.M. (18:00) Central time. The direct support number is 972-512-5190. There are emergency, after hours, and Saturday pager services available at 877-808-8578. Emergency after hours support is not included as part of your annual maintenance agreement. Our support desk may also be reached over the internet by sending an e-mail to support@unifocus.com.
