Generating schedules

Generating schedules autoschedule employees. When you generate schedules, the software attempts to assign assigns employees to all unfilled, planned shifts. Note: There are some pre-reqs for getting a high quality draft schedule from auto schedule or from generate schedules. Configuring thorough, accurate employee availability and entering all time off requests are vital to this process of generating schedules.
- In the Shift Operations section, click the gear menu ( ).
- From the drop-down list, select Generate Schedules.
The Generate Schedules dialog box appears. - Complete the fields as necessary.

A Generating Schedules progress bar appears. When the progress bar reaches 100 percent, the schedules have been successfully generated. A Success dialog box appears. It confirms that confirms that the schedule was successfully generated. - Click OK.

Copying When you copy a schedule allows , you to can copy all filled shifts from one week to another week. This feature is helpful for users if you are not interested in using the Generate Schedules option for autoscheduling and in departments or if you are in a department where the schedule doesn't does not change much from planning period to planning period.

Clearing schedules and shifts

Clearing a schedule allows you to schedules remove all assigned employees from the planned shifts. Use this option if you want to completely start from scratch over with the process of assigning of planned shifts.
- In the Shift Operations section, click the gear menu ( ).
From the drop-down list, select Clear Schedules.
The Clear Shifts Schedules dialog box appears. Because you cannot undo the clearaction, the message asks if you are sure you want to clear all shifts.Warning icon false Warning: After the schedules have been cleared, you cannot undo this action.
- Click Yes.
The Clear Shifts Schedules dialog box closes. All scheduled shifts are cleared from the schedule pane. In the Jobs view, the shift bars return to an unplanned status.
