Depending on the type of Time Clock(s) for your company uses, you enter data into the system in one of two ways:

  • Polling the time clocks clocks.
  • Automatic transmission. 

If your clock(s) require polling, you must initiate the process on the Manage Time Clocks screen. If your clock(s) automatically transmit, the process is automatically initiated.

Time Clock

Lists the time clocks currently installed on your system.

Active

Denotes Displays whether the time clock is being used.

Last Polled 
                                

Denotes Displays the last date that data was manually requested (polled) from the clock(s). Only certain types of clocks require you to poll data. If you do not have this type of clock, this column will always be blank.

Last Heartbeat

Denotes Displays the last time the clock transmitted data. This type of clock automatically transmits

Certain Time Clocks automatically transmit data according to a set schedule. When Each time the clock transmits data, it is called a heartbeat.   Only certain types of clocks work in this fashionway. If you do not have this type of clock, this column will always be blank.

If the Time Clock does not have an IP address, this field is empty.

Buttons
Select AllSelects check boxes for all Time Clocks. 
De-Select AllClears check boxes for all Time Clocks. 

Poll

Starts the polling process that pulls data from the clock.

If you click this button but do not have the type of clock that requires polling, nothing will happen.

Import

Allows you to import Import a file. Each clock creates a .csv (or similar) file that can be imported via this process.
