  • Biometrics.
  • The biometric reader.

This document emphasizes that fact that the biometric reader of the UniFocus Time Clock does not capture employees' fingerprints; it creates a mapping of points on the pad of the finger.

Visual Login Instructions

Only touch screen entry for badge and PIN:

Magnetic card readers:

Barcode scanners:

Proximity card readers:

The visual login instructions comprise a set of one-page documents that can be posted next to Time Clocks on your property.

Because Time Clocks can be configured with various types of peripheral identification devices (such as barcode scanners, proximity card readers, magnetic card readers, and biometric readers), there is also a variety of ways that companies can configure Time Clocks for employee login. For example, some companies might set up their Time Clocks so that employees log in using a barcode scanner and then a biometric reader; other companies might have their employees log in using a proximity card followed by manually entering their PINs.

Each document provides simple, graphics-based instructions for logging in to a Time Clock. Find the method that matches your company’s setup, print it, and post it by your Time Clocks so that employees can follow the steps.

The peripheral devices attached to your Time Clocks might look different than the images shown in the handouts.
