Description | Designate an earning to be paid at a fixed rate of pay per hours worked. This work rule can be used in situations where employees need to be paid at a fixed hourly rate that is different than their usual rate.
Example(s) | A senior employee is offered an additional $1.00 per hour for hours spent training a new hire. The manager would apply the Earning Fixed Rate Work Rule to add the extra $1.00 per hour earning, so the employee is correctly paid. A new hire is offered a rate of $16.00 per hour. The rate will kick in only after the new hire has completed a 22 hour orientation, for which the employee will only make $11.00 per hour. The manager can apply this work rule and remove the work rule after the required orientation hours have been met.
