Use Shift Date option in the Prompt For Fixed Hours Earning work rule (18184)
The Prompt for Fixed Hours work rule (System Setup > Work Rules > Post Punch) has been updated to include with a new configuration option for using shift date.
If you select the check box, the earning will be applied on the date of the shift In punch.
So even if you punch Out and it's the next day, like if you worked over night and you punch Out and it's the next day, the system will apply the earning to the date that you clocked in at.
Previously we applied the earning to the date associated with the Out punch.
By selecting the new check box we can apply the earning to the date of the In punch regardless of the date of the punch being madeUse Shift Date option so that earnings can be applied to the date of employees' In punches. In previous releases, earnings could be applied only to the date of employees' Out punches. This improvement accommodates overnight shifts that span two days; the earning can be associated with the start date of the shift.
