Depending on the type of Time Clock(s) for your company uses, you enter data into the system in one of two ways:
- Polling the time clocks clocks.
- Automatic transmission.
If your clock(s) require polling, you must initiate the process on the Manage Time Clocks screen. If your clock(s) automatically transmit, the process is automatically initiated.
Fields on the Manage Time Clock screen

Selected | Check box to select Time Clock. | |
Time Clock | Lists the time clocks currently installed on your system. | READ-ONLY. |
Active | Denotes Displays whether the time clock is being used. | READ-ONLY. |
Last Polled | Denotes Displays the last date that data was manually requested (polled) from the clock(s). Only certain types of clocks require you to poll data. If you do not have this type of clock, this column will always be blank. | READ-ONLY. |
Last Heartbeat | Denotes Displays the last time the clock transmitted data. This type of clock automatically transmits data according to a set schedule. When the clock transmits data it is called a heartbeat. Only certain types of clocks work in this fashion. If you do not have this type of clock, this column will always be blank. | READ-ONLY. |
IP Address | IP address of the Time Clock. | READ-ONLY. If the Time Clock does not have an IP address, this field is empty |

Select All | Selects check boxes for all Time Clocks. | |
De-Select All | Clears check boxes for all Time Clocks. | |
Poll | Starts the polling process that pulls data from the clock. | If you click this button but do not have the type of clock that requires polling, nothing will happen. |
Import | Allows you to import Import a file. Each clock creates a .csv (or similar) file that can be imported via this process. | |
