The Employee Requests screen allows you edit an employee's schedule On this screen, you can view and manage employees’ requests for time off and check employees' availability. Changes to shifts can also be made here. This ensures that employees are working hours that are possible and that they are getting paid the right amount for time off. If a manager does not change the status prior to the start date, the request will remain in pending status. If there is a conflict then the request will also remain in pending requests.

This screen has a few default settings which include:

, availability, and shifts. The Employee Requests screen offers three views:

  • Time Off Requests
  • Availability Requests/Logs
  • Shift Requests

The screen opens to the Time Off Requests view by default. Although each view displays different information, all views show the status of each request.

Note: A request remains in a pending status if there is a conflict or if managers do not change the status before the start date.

Note

Caution: Changes or cancellations can not cannot be made after the pay period is closed. If the an employee's accrual balance is negative, then a warning will be displayed. A manager can look at message appears. Managers can view a past request, but the data is read-only.

Import Request
Import a request from

Imports a file with requests.

Faster option if you have a lot of requests.

If a company has several employee requests entered in a file, importing the file is quicker and more efficient than manually adding the requests on the Employee Requests screen.
