Setting up Salaried Team Member How are salaried team members set up in LMS

Labor Structure > General Tab > Standards Type

    • Labor standards configured as type "Salaried" generate projected hours that appear on LMS reports and the LMS dashboard.  These types of standards DO NOT create system planned shifts and the hours are not displayed on the scheduling screen because of this.
    • Labor Standards configured as type “KBI Related” also generate projected hours that appear on LMS reports and the LMS dashboard.  This type does create system planned shifts and hours that display on the scheduling screen.  This configuration also usually requires that the standard tab be configured for 8 hours per day M-F (for one manager).

Salaried team members can still be scheduled under either set up, but in the “Salaried” option, there will be no guidance at the bottom on the screen.  Also, in Employee Maintenance, salaried managers can be made to be employee type permanent and configured with a set schedule to ensure that they all get scheduled 40 hours per week.

Therefore, either configuration is functional, but “KBI Related” is recommended because it will ensure all elements will appear in LMS.

Why do I have employees who have been terminated, and UniFocus RMS will not change their statuses?

UniFocus RMS will not terminate an employee if they have activity after their termination date. Review Employee Reconciliation > Employees with Errors Tab daily. The reason for the error will be displayed.

Common error reasons include:

    • Does the employee have earnings, in their time card, occurring after the termination date?
      • Holidays? If yes, remove.
      • Approved Vacations in the future? If yes, change the status to Canceled.
    • Does the employee have salary distributions in the Display Main Menu > Employee Maintenance > Jobs Tab? If yes, remove.
    • Does the employee have any outstanding job changes? If yes, remove.
    • Does the employee have any scheduled hours beyond their termination date? If yes, remove.
