Clear Schedules

Does this actually clear all schedules? Why would you use this rather than the Clear Schedules option from the gear drop-down menu?

When I select this check box, the OK button remains unavailable. Is that normal functionality?

I'm still not sure exactly what this does. Also, why wouldn't you just select the Clear Schedule option from the gear menu?
